It Is The Spring Of 1940
March - May Open for Play

Lines are drawn. Wands are at the ready. Everyone must choose a side. The fight to maintain the Statute of Secrecy is not just against Grindlewald and his followers, though. Muggle armies across Europe and Asia are stirring up more than dust and death. Creatures of all sorts are caught in the crossfire. From unicorns to dragons and bowtruckles to dementors. Someone has to dare the front lines to keep the unexplainable unseen. So if you have the moxie to wrangle poxies under enemy fire the Micky's are calling on you.

O:BB has a set timeline. Every four real life months we enter a new In Character season. As we progress important events that your characters would note will be updated here.

Spring: march 1st to may 31st

life in general
London undergoes nightly blackouts in order to make the city harder to spot from the sky. Thousands of women and children have been evacuated to the countryside, where others open their homes to give the refugees shelter. Those that remain in the city carry gas masks and the nearest bomb shelter along their daily routes. Food rationing starts for muggles.

Events of note:
  • Norway and Denmark invaded by German forces - April
  • the Germans unleashed their Blitzkrieg against the Netherlands and Belgium- May
  • Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain is forced to resign and replaced by Winston Churchill - May

While the staff endeavors to keep things fairly accurate we are not historians, nor do we wish to strictly adhere to every event that took place in the real world. So please do let staff know if you are a history buff and we've missed a thing or two. We'll gladly edit them in.
